We did receive the Pokémon Direct to tie in with Pokémon Day, but some of these videos were recorded before the Pokémon Direct, and I do have something recorded from that day that I want to show, and I will go into detail when that video is up.
My opponent's team is the Tatsugiri and Dondozo combo, and this was what dominated VGC Tournaments, my opponent's Tatsugiri is the Stretchy Form, and this one boosts Dondozo's Speed when Dondozo uses Order Up, and I did see my opponent had many other Pokémon that have seen top usage in VGC Tournaments.
As with the team I went with, I am using Palafin, and while this is a banned Pokémon, I can use Palafin in Double Battles, as that Pokémon is allowed in VGC Tournaments, and I have put some uncommon Pokémon onto the team.
One strategy with the team is the combo of Oricorio and Iron Moth, my Oricorio is the Sensu Style, which is a Ghost/Flying-type, as I find that to be better defensively, and her signature move Revelation Dance is a Ghost-type type, and I didn't even know that Revelation Dance uses the Pokémon's Tera Type when Terastallized, I went with Fighting for the Tera Type on Oricorio, so if she is Terastallized, Revelation Dance becomes a Fighting-type move, and it even has 10 more power than Tera Blast.
As with Iron Moth, it has a Grass Tera Type to help against Water-type Pokémon, but as my opponent led with Dondozo and went with the Dragon Tera Type, this does make it a very tough opponents if my opponent led with it and Tatsugiri. Iron Moth has Fiery Dance so that when Oricorio is on the field, after Iron Moth has used Fiery Dance, Oricorio's Ability of Dancer will copy Fiery Dance. Oricorio has Tailwind to give her teammates the boost in Speed, and Air Slash is there for the 30% flinch chance.
This is the same Arboliva that I used in the previous Tera Raid event, but I adjusted her to make her work in Double Battles, she has a Water Tera Type for whenever I get to Terastallize her, and I gave her Tera Blast as a way to catch Fire-type Pokémon off guard, Earth Power and Pollen Puff are coverage options. Palafin's strategy is to switch out and come out in her Hero Form, and she has Wave Crash for a powerful Water-type move, and Jet Punch for priority, Close Combat is there to handle opponents that resist Water, like my opponent's Tatsugiri for example. I did teach Protect to a lot of my Pokémon on this team, as this is a very popular move in Double Battles, and that ended up on Palafin instead of Flip Turn, and she has a Mystic Water to power up her Water-type moves.
