Here are the team of Pokémon in this video, which was decided by the random number generator.
P1 Team: Nidorina, Marill, Ditto, Spearow, Staryu, Gloom
CPU Team: Hitmonchan, Zubat, Bellsprout, Seaking, Ivysaur, Dugtrio

Then, I will list the moves for each Pokémon in battle, starting with my team.
Nidorina: Strength, Bite, Blizzard, Toxic
Marill: Surf, Rollout, Defense Curl, Swagger
Ditto: Transform
Spearow: Drill Peck, Frustration, Steel Wing, Mirror Move
Staryu: Psychic, Hydro Pump, Thunder, Recover
Gloom: SolarBeam, Sludge Bomb, Sleep Powder, Sunny Day

This battle has many Water, Grass, and Poison-type Pokémon from looking at both teams, and to lead off the fight is Marill, while the CPU uses Hitmonchan. I decided to get Nidorina in, as its Toxic can help against Hitmonchan, but the downside is having to deal with Counter if I were to use Strength against it.
This battle is where Staryu comes to use, and as I have went over when Staryu first appeared in the Free Battle videos for Pokémon Stadium 2, it does have some good attacks like Psychic, Hydro Pump, and Thunder, and it can heal itself with Recover, so in any battle where Staryu appears, expect to see it do very well, and with the CPU team having four Pokémon weak to Psychic, although the two Poison-type Pokémon are part Grass-type, putting Staryu at a disadvantage, but it does have an easy advantage against Zubat, and I do have Thunder to deal with Seaking, and while I have Hydro Pump for Dugtrio, I do have Marill for a backup should Staryu go down before Dugtrio comes out.
Even if this is Staryu's battle for most of the fight, I do have to go over my other team members, Spearow is there to fight the Grass-types, while its best matchup is against Bellsprout, it can do well against Ivysaur, as it resists two of its moves and can get in some hits with Drill Peck to bring it down. Don't need Gloom for much of the battle, while its Sludge Bomb is there for neutral damage against the Grass-types, and it can use the Sunny Day and SolarBeam combo against Seaking and Dugtrio, the downside to using Gloom is that it is slow, Seaking can land a Horn Drill, and Dugtrio has a chance of getting Magnitude 10, which is very powerful. I don't need to go over Ditto as I don't see it being the most useful in the battle because with Ditto, it's based on which Pokémon it is up against, and it can't win all matchups in battle.
