Next up is Round 2 of Azalea Gym, this one specializes in Bug-type Pokémon, but the Trainers include Pokémon of other types, and Gym Leader Bugsy has included many Pokémon to counter the types that would take advantage of the Bug-type's weaknesses, showing how harder Round 2 is than Round 1.
The team I went with has mostly Pokémon with Explosion, I have Seadra to fight the Rock and Ground-types, Aerodactyl can fight the Bug-types, and Wobbuffet is there to counter attacks.
I will list each Trainers, and the nicknames of the Pokémon, with the species name of the Pokémon in brackets, as well as their held item.
Battle 1: Bug Catcher Chaz
Drilly (Beedrill): Twineedle, Double-Edge, Sludge Bomb, Agility (Bitter Berry)
Floray (Sunflora): Razor Leaf, Sludge Bomb, Giga Drain, Growth (Poison Barb)
Freey (Butterfree): Psybeam, Gust, Giga Drain, Whirlwind (PRZCureBerry)
Shrewy (Sandshrew): Earthquake, Slash, Iron Tail, Counter (Soft Sand)
Yanmay (Yanma): Wing Attack, Swift, Reversal, Foresight (King's Rock)
Sparcey (Dunsparce): Dig, Flamethrower, Thunderbolt, Glare (Mint Berry)

Battle 2: Twins Min & Lyn
Lediledi (Ledian): Sweet Scent, Rollout, Giga Drain, Light Screen (PRZCureBerry)
Eeveev (Eevee): Charm, Shadow Ball, Double-Edge, Flail (Spell Tag)
Ponypony (Ponyta): Charm, Fire Blast, Take Down, Iron Tail (Metal Coat)
Pinepine (Pineco): Sweet Scent, Rollout, Giga Drain, Reflect (Mint Berry)
Snubsnub (Snubbull): Charm, Crunch, Headbutt, Lick (Polkadot Bow)
Rinarina (Nidorina): Charm, Body Slam, Double Kick, Disable (Bitter Berry)

Battle 3: Gym Leader Bugsy
Scyther: Wing Attack, Steel Wing, Reversal, Hyper Beam (King's Rock)
Heracross: Megahorn, Reversal, Take Down, Earthquake (Focus Band)
Pinsir: Fury Cutter, Submission, Body Slam, Seismic Toss (Scope Lens)
Quagsire: Surf, Earthquake, AncientPower, Haze (BrightPowder)
Sudowoodo: Rock Slide, Earthquake, Low Kick, Strength (Quick Claw)
Raticate: Hyper Fang, Super Fang, Reversal, Roar (MiracleBerry)

The Trainers aren't to be taken lightly due to their increased move options, for example, Yanma has Reversal which is an Egg Move, and some of the Pokémon don't use held berries that often, you will see items like Poison Barb to increase the power of Sunflora's Sludge Bomb, the Soft Sand to boost Sandshrew's Earthquake, and Yanma does have Foresight to make its Swift and Reversal hit Ghost-type Pokémon. Wing Attack is a move Yanma can only learn in Crystal, so Round 2 has included not only Egg Moves and Gen 1 TMs, but also moves from Crystal.
The second battle makes use of Charm and Sweet Scent, Charm is an Egg Move on Nidorina, Eevee, and Ponyta, and you might see that some held items power up coverage moves, like the Metal Coat for Ponyta's Iron Tail and the Spell Tag for Eevee's Shadow Ball. You might see some Pokémon with moves they cannot know at the same time, the best example is Nidorina in the second battle, which knows Charm and Body Slam, Charm is an Egg Move for Nidorina, and Body Slam is a move it can only know in Generation 1 through TM, and you cannot trade Pokémon that know a move introduced in Gold & Silver into the Generation 1 games, and you cannot relearn Egg Moves when removed, so there is no way to have a Nidorina that knows both Charm and Body Slam on the same set.
Next up is Bugsy, he will always use Scyther, but it is more powerful as it knows Steel Wing for type coverage against Rock-types, the Egg Move Reversal which hits hard when its HP is low and can hit Steel-types hard, and Hyper Beam for a powerful move, and it has a King's Rock to flinch the target. Heracross has the powerful Megahorn, or Megaphone as Bugsy refers to it, this could be because in Japanese, the "horn" part could be translated to "phone". Bugsy has included the Water-type Quagsire to counter Fire-types, the Rock-type Sudowoodo to handle Flying-types, and Raticate to deal some damage with Super Fang. Sudowoodo does have a Quick Claw to give it a chance to strike first, and Pinsir has a Scope Lens to increase its critical hit rate.
