This is not an online battle if you are wondering, instead those are some random battles that I am doing through Sword & Shield, I have Pokémon Shield on my Switch Lite, and what I am doing in this video is doing a bunch of battles using random Pokémon with randomized movesets.
The inspiration to making this video was through Twitch Plays Pokémon, where they do like a betting system on Pokémon Battle Revolution where random Pokémon are picked for both sides, it previously used to be Pokémon Stadium 2, and sometimes the moves are picked at random, I wanted to see that mode upgraded to Sword & Shield, but as they stuck with Pokémon Battle Revolution, I decided to try this out myself.
What this is about is I go to Random.org, and in the Random Number Generator, I randomize numbers between 1 to 898, and the randomized numbers are the Pokémon I pick for those teams if they are available in Sword & Shield, if they are not, then I keep on until I get another number. For movesets, I go onto Bulbapedia or Serebii.net and go through every move that Pokémon learns in Sword & Shield, randomize the list, and the first four moves are the moves that Pokémon will have.
Certain moves are banned, moves that only work in Double Battles, like Helping Hand, Follow Me, Ally Switch, and Coaching can't be used, as they have no effect in Single Battles, and as held items cannot be held, unless it is a Pokémon that requires a held item to change forms, like Silvally for example, so moves that only work with held items, like Trick, Switcheroo, Fling, and Poltergeist cannot be used.
For Pokémon with alternate forms, I flip a coin to determine which form is picked, let's take Exeggutor for example, I flip a coin to see if Kantonian or Alolan Exeggutor will be picked.
I use Random.org to pick a random number between 1 and 4, and those determine which moves will be picked for that turn, and Dynamax cannot be used.
I will have timestamps for each battle, so if you want to check out a battle, the timestamps are there for that.
00:00 Battle 1: Cobalion, Tyranitar, Wailmer Vs. Exeggutor (Kanto), Machop, Dugtrio (Kanto)
04:43 Battle 2: Nidoking, Gardevoir, Dreepy Vs. Decidueye, Drampa, Drilbur
09:15 Battle 3: Snover, Omanyte, Minccino Vs. Stufful, Nickit, Electrike
