It is time for the Battle of the Eagle and Lion, which takes place at Gronder Field, and this huge mock battle is to prove who is the best out of the three houses, with Byleth leading the Black Eagle house. While it is like the mock battle back in Chapter 1, all students will be participating, and there will be a good reward if Byleth's class defeat the most units.

As for the rest of the description, I recommend watching the full video before reading past this point of the description

This chapter is a huge mock battle between the three houses, and we get a cool cutscene where the house leaders lead their forces and rush into battle, and the song that plays for this map is one of my favourite songs in the game, it is called "Blue Skies and a Battle".
Byleth and the Black Eagle house will be on the northern side of the map, the Blue Lions will be on the southwest part of the map, and the Golden Deer will be on the southeast part of the map, the locations are different based on which house was picked, and if you are playing on Classic Mode, if any of your units are defeated, they will not die, as this is a mock battle.
If you have recruited any units into your house, so in this case, I only have Marianne and Lysithea recruited, and I went with Ingrid for my Mission Assistant for this chapter, they will be replaced by generic units without Personal Abilities and Crests, making them easier to fight, and you can't use any of the Knights of Seiros, like Shamir, as this is a mock battle between students, but you can use Flayn. The Blue Lions students will be replaced by Kingdom Generals, and the Golden Deer students will be replaced by Alliance Generals, and you cannot recruit Dedue outside of his own house, and even though you can recruit Hilda on Blue Lions, she cannot be recruited on Black Eagles, so you will have to fight them.
A strategy that I like to use is have a unit use Stride so that you can take the Ballista right away, because Ashe will start on there firing arrows at you, the Ballista can be used by any unit if they have D Rank in Bow. You have to try and defeat as many opponents as you can, because if other houses defeat enough opponents, they gain stat boosts, making then more challenging to fight. For dialogue, if Lorenz was not recruited, he will try to capture the central hill if any of your units step on there, and Claude has some of his forces try to help Lorenz out. The house leaders have unique quotes if Byleth or your house leader fight them.
It will take a lot to go over every unit you fight, but I will go over items you can get, the chest on the southern part of the map has a Killer Lance, and you can get the Chest Key by defeating Ashe, or the enemy Archer if you have recruited him. If you have a Thief, you can steal items from other units, the most common being the Vulnerary, which you can steal from Felix, Ashe, Mercedes, Annette, Raphael, Ignatz, Lysithea, Marianne, and Leonie. You can steal a Leather Shield from Dedue, while both Dimitri and Claude have Evasion Rings you can steal from them.
I could go over the house leaders, both have Seiros Mercenaries for their Battalions, and they both have a high Charm stat, so they can use them. Dimitri has a Spear and a Steel Lance, and he has a high Strength stat, and good HP as well. He has some good stats except for Resistance, so magic attacks can do well against him.
Claude has good Strength, Dexterity, Speed, and Charm for stats, and he has a Longbow, which has a range of 2-3, and he has Close Counter, so he can counterattack if you use a sword against him, he shouldn't be too difficult if you can start off with a Gambit and have your other unit finish him off.
After the battle, if your house is the one that defeated the most opponents, you will get a Blessed Lance, which is called the Holy Lance in Japanese, and it is said to drive away evil. The Blessed Lance deals bonus damage against Monster units, and it restores 10% of the user's maximum HP at the start of their turn, and it requires a C Rank in Lance to use it, so this is a really good reward if you are able to defeat as many opponents as you can.
We go through a bunch of scenes, and you get different dialogue if you have Ferdinand and Dorothea at B Support before that scene.
