The type that I will be doing for this one is Grass, and there are a good variety of Pokémon of that type, but the one I use is a mix between Grassy Terrain and a Sun team. My lead is Rillaboom, which has Grassy Surge to activate Grassy Terrain when entering battle, she has U-turn, which will allow her to switch out to another Pokémon.
I have Leafeon for Sunny Day use, and even if Whimsicott is a better option because of Prankster, I find Leafeon to be a bit underrated of a Pokémon, and he has Solar Blade to get in some huge damage, and last up is Venusaur, he has Weather Ball and Earth Power for good coverage options, while Giga Drain and Sludge Bomb are there for his main moves, it was a tough decision between that and Solar Beam, and I decided to go with Giga Drain in the end, and this Venusaur can Gigantamax, but then again Rillaboom can Gigantamax as well.
There are no Grass-type Pokémon that get Drought for the Ability, which would be nice, because a lot of Grass-type Pokémon get Chlorophyll for the Ability, which my Leafeon and Venusaur have.
For other options, while I did use Leafeon for setting up the sun, Whimsicott is more preferred for that role, as it has Prankster for its Ability, and another good Pokémon to use for Grass Restricted Sparring is Shiftry, which can learn Heat Wave, and when Dynamaxed, can set up the sun with Max Flare.
For alternatives, there are a lot of Pokémon that get Chlorophyll, like Vileplume, Shiftry, and Tangrowth, although Regenerator is preferred on Tangrowth over Chlorophyll, and Venusaur is the best Pokémon with Chlorophyll in this game, it can get Growth, so if you want to use that, it will give Venusaur a huge boost in Attack and Special Attack.
For some good picks, Mow Rotom is a decent option, while it's not the most popular Rotom form, Leaf Storm is a very powerful Grass-type move it can get, Ferrothorn is a defensive option with moves like Gyro Ball and Power Whip, and it has Iron Barbs for the Ability, which can be nice against any Physical attackers. If you don't mind using Legendary Pokémon, Virizon is a notable option, and for other good attackers, Roserade, Lilligant, Exeggutor, Decidueye, Tsareena, and a few others can be decent options, and Amoonguss is a good defensive option.
The nice thing about teams that rely on Grassy Terrain is the move Grassy Glide, this will have priority when used in Grassy Terrain, and the main reason why Rillaboom is a top-tier threat in the competitive scene, because Rillaboom has a very high Attack stat, and with Grassy Surge, it can be tough to stop if you don't have anything that resists Grass-type moves. Venusaur, Exeggutor, Shiftry, Cherrim, Abomasnow, Leafeon, Tangrowth, Virizion, Trevenant, Gourgeist, Decidueye, Lurantis, Tsareena, Dhelmise, Flapple, and Appletun are other Pokémon that can learn that move.
For Gigantamax options, Flapple, Appletun, Venusaur, and Rillaboom are the Grass-types that can Gigantamax. For lower tier options, while they are not the best of Grass-types, Bellossom, Ludicolo, Maractus, Shiinotic, Eldegoss, and a few others if you are one of these players that likes to give underused Pokémon a try in Restricted Sparring.
