Pokémon UNITE has received an update, a new Tournament mode called Pokémon UNITE Championship Series, where you can use custom rules, and you can do test battles where you can play by yourself or have CPU players as teammates. A new Pokémon was added into the game, you can now play as Trevenant if you purchase its UNITE License, and I play as Trevenant in this video to see how it works, I will list the other players in this match.
Batzelh - Machamp
CptnTomap - Charizard
TAEJ - Gengar
BGND - Greedent

The opponent's team of Pokémon.
Victormgh - Absol
Gaborb - Pikachu
InaGiot - Greninja
Cra330654 - Charizard
TNEE - Eldegoss

In the update, some Pokémon received changes, those Pokémon are Dragonite, Tsareena, Garchomp, Gengar, Talonflame, Lucario, Charizard, Decidueye, Machamp, and Zeraora. As I have not uploaded a Pokémon UNITE video for weeks, that is because I haven't been too interested in that game lately, I do play every day, but I haven't found any interest in making videos for that game, but at least we got something new to show for this video.
I will go over Trevenant, it is a Defender, which we seem to get a lot of lately, because we had Blastoise, Mamoswine, and Greedent. Trevenant's Ability is Natural Cure, when Trevenant is at low HP, it will receive a continuous HP recovery effect for a short time, and it reduces the cooldown for Trevenant's moves, and there is a delay when the HP recovery ends, and it will be reduced each time Trevenant's moves hit an opposing Pokémon.
Trevenant starts off battles as Phantump, and its basic attack becomes a boosted attack every third attacks, and it will restore its HP when it hits an opposing Pokémon. Phantump's starting moves are Branch Poke and Will-O-Wisp. Branch Poke deals damage to opposing Pokémon, it is a dash attack that decreases the opponent's movement speed for a short time, and Will-O-Wisp is a ranged move that leaves opposing Pokémon burned for a short time.
At Level 5, Phantump will evolve into Trevenant, and it learns Wood Hammer or Curse, which replace Will-O-Wisp. Wood Hammer has Trevenant pull its arms back and attack, and dealing damage to opposing Pokémon in the area of effect, pulling them in front of Trevenant, and leaving them unable to act for a short time. If Wood Hammer deals damage to at least one opposing Pokémon, a follow-up attack will be available, which deals damage to any opposing Pokémon it hits and leaves them unable to act for a short time, the effect is longer if Trevenant's HP is lower, and it consumes a set amount of Trevenant's HP when used. Curse has Trevenant create a cursed zone for exchange for some of its HP, which deals damage overtime and decreases the movement speed of opposing Pokémon, and the effect is greater if Trevenant's HP is lower, and the curse power is built up when it deals or receives damage, and releasing that built up power will deal additional damage to opposing Pokémon, and if the cursed power is at maximum, this will reset the cooldown for Trevenant's other moves.
At Level 7, it learns Horn Leech or Pain Split, they replace Branch Poke. Horn Leech has Trevenant charge forward, and when it collides with an opposing Pokémon, it will restore HP and it restores more HP if its remaining HP is lower, and at the end of the charge, the opposing Pokémon that were shoved are dealt additional damage when thrown, and its basic attacks deal increased damage and reduce the cooldown for Horn Leech when they hit. Pain Split creates a link between Trevenant and the opposing Pokémon, and if Trevenant takes damage, a portion of it is redirected to the linked Pokémon, and the effect is greater when Trevenant's HP is lower, and it continually recovers more HP if its remaining HP is lower, and the link will disappear if the linked Pokémon is too far apart, and using the move increases Trevenant's movement speed for a short time.
Trevenant's Unite move is Phantom Forest, which creates a cursed forest that deals damage to opposing Pokémon in effect, throwing them and decreasing their movement speed for a short time, and basic attacks of all allied Pokémon deals increased damage to opposing Pokémon hit by the Unite move, and Trevenant is granted a shield which strengthens HP recovery effects.
At Level 11, Wood Hammer or Curse are upgraded, Wood Hammer decreases the damage opposing Pokémon deal for a short time when the follow-up attack hits, and Curse has an increased area of effect. At Level 13, Horn Leech or Pain Split are upgraded, Horn Leech increases Trevenant's movement speed for a short time after the move ends, and Pain Split increases the time the link persists before disappearing.
Trevenant works best with items like Score Shield, Focus Band, Buddy Barrier, and many others, its best stat is Endurance, and most of its moves work around HP recovery, and have better effect the lower its HP is, and for sets, Curse and Pain Split are its best set, while Wood Hammer and Horn Leech work best together.
