It is time to take on the Elite Four in the Sinnoh region, and I would recommend training to at least Level 60, because while the main game does feel easy when you keep the same team and overlevel the Trainers, the Elite Four are a step up in difficulty, their Pokémon are EV Trained, they have competitive movesets, and they have held items to add to the difficulty.

As for the rest of the description, I recommend watching the full video before reading past this point of the description

While you can breeze through the main story if you keep the same team throughout the game and don't rotate around team members, the Elite Four are a step up in difficulty, Level 60 at least is recommended. The Elite Four use their teams from Diamond & Pearl, which had less variety, so they don't use their much better Platinum teams, and their Pokémon are EV Trained and have competitive movesets, so this will add to the challenge, and they use a remixed version of the Gym Leader battle theme, which is really good.
The first member of the Elite Four is Aaron, a Bug-type user, I will go over his team.
Dustox: Toxic, Bug Buzz, Moonlight, Light Screen (Black Sludge)
Beautifly: Bug Buzz, Shadow Ball, Psychic, Quiver Dance (Wise Glasses)
Vespiquen: Acrobatics, Attack Order, Aerial Ace, Defend Order (Sitrus Berry)
Heracross: Earthquake, Rock Slide, Facade, Brick Break (Flame Orb)
Drapion: Cross Poison, Night Slash, Earthquake, X-Scissor (Scope Lens)

You might have fought a bunch of Dustox and Beautifly when fighting Team Galactic, but the ones Aaron uses have great moves, they shouldn't be too tough to deal with. Vespiquen is really defensive, but it can easily be taken out with a good Rock-type move, Heracross has Guts and a Flame Orb, making its attacks hurt for a lot of damage, and his Drapion, which isn't a Bug-type, it evolves from a Bug-type Pokémon, has Sniper to make its critical hits deal more damage.
The next member is Bertha, who resembles Agatha from Kanto, and they have identical Japanese names, Agatha is Kikuko, and Bertha is Kikuno, but anyway, Bertha specializes in Ground-type Pokémon, here is her team.
Quagsire: Recover, Toxic, Earthquake, Surf (Leftovers)
Sudowoodo: Double-Edge, Head Smash, Sucker Punch, Low Kick (Sitrus Berry)
Golem: Rock Polish, Heavy Slam, Earthquake, Stone Edge (Soft Sand)
Whiscash: Bulldoze, Ice Beam, Belch, Hydro Pump (Rindo Berry)
Hippowdon: Ice Fang, Earthquake, Crunch, Rest (Chesto Berry)

Every Pokémon on Bertha's team are weak to Grass, Quagsire, Whiscash, and Golem are 4x weak to Grass, but her Pokémon are really defensive, her Hippowdon can be tough to take down if you don't have a good Special Attacker on your team, and it knows Rest to heal off the damage.
The third member is Flint, who you met back at Sunyshore City, he is a Fire-type specialist, but only two Pokémon on his team are Fire-type, so he has his infamous Diamond & Pearl team, and here is the Pokémon he uses.
Rapidash: Flame Charge, Iron Tail, Poison Jab, Hypnosis (Wide Lens)
Steelix: Thunder Fang, Fire Fang, Iron Tail, Crunch (Life Orb)
Drifblim: Strength Sap, Minimize, Baton Pass, Will-O-Wisp (Sitrus Berry)
Lopunny: Mirror Coat, High Jump Kick, Quick Attack, Fire Punch (Leftovers)
Infernape: Fire Punch, Thunder Punch, Close Combat, Mach Punch (Focus Sash)

Flint only has two Fire-type Pokémon, but they do know Fire-type moves, his Drifblim can be really annoying if it sets up Minimize and Baton Pass, but if you have a Pokémon that knows Taunt, you can shut Drifblim down completely, and his Infernape is really powerful as it has Iron Fist for its Ability to boost the power of its punching moves.
The final member of the Elite Four is Lucian, a Psychic-type user, and he is the toughest member of the Elite Four, here is his team of Psychic-type Pokémon.
Mr. Mime: Light Screen, Reflect, Psychic, Dazzling Gleam (Light Clay)
Girafarig: Light Screen, Psychic, Thunderbolt, Trick Room (Mental Herb)
Medicham: Zen Headbutt, High Jump Kick, Thunder Punch, Ice Punch (Muscle Band)
Alakazam: Nasty Plot, Psychic, Future Sight, Shock Wave (Life Orb)
Bronzong: Gyro Ball, Earthquake, Payback, Trick Room (Sitrus Berry)

Lucian leads with Mr. Mime, which set up screens, his Alakazam has Magic Guard so it will not take damage from Life Orb, and if it sets up Nasty Plot, it can deal massive damage with its attacks, Girafarig can set up Trick Room, which will benefit his Medicham and Bronzong, his Medicham has a Nature that lowers Speed.
When you have beaten the Elite Four, there is still the Champion left, which is way more tougher than the Elite Four, so that was a good step up in difficulty, and some of the Pokémon there have their Hidden Abilities, despite using their more underwhelming Diamond & Pearl teams compared to their better Platinum teams, but they were quite challenging in the original Diamond & Pearl as well, and in Platinum, their teams were lower level compared to Diamond & Pearl.
