After beating the Gym in Sunyshore City, the next place is the Pokémon League, and to get there, I will have to go through Route 223, but before then, I show some places you can access now that we have the Hidden Move for Waterfall. Route 223 has some Trainers that use Water-type Pokémon, and this will be some good training before going through Victory Road.

As for the rest of the description, I recommend watching the full video before reading past this point of the description

At the start of the video, I get the Shining Pearl exclusives through trade, including the ones you can find in the Grand Underground, as there is a chance that I will likely complete the Sinnoh Dex, I don't usually go for Pokédex completing when doing a YouTube playthrough, I did that in Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu!, and I didn't bother in Sword & Shield because of the large Pokédex, but this game only has 150 Pokémon in the Sinnoh Dex, so it is a bit easier.
Then to go over what you can get with Waterfall, on Route 208, you can get a Carbos, you can get a Stone Plate in Mount Coronet, which boosts the power of Rock-type moves, and when you go through the cave the Team Galactic Grunt was blocking, it will connect to Mount Coronet on Route 211, and you can get the TM for Dragon Claw, and on Route 210, you can get a Meadow Plate, which boosts the power of Grass-type moves, and a Wave Incense, which you can give to a Mantine to breed for Mantyke.
You can get Mantyke on Route 223, which is the only new encounter, and it's not really worth using, it's not a bad Pokémon, it has good Special Defense, and you do need to have a Remoraid in your party to evolve Mantyke into Mantine. As for stats, Mantine has a very high Special Defense stat and decent Special Attack, the reason why I didn't recommend it is that you will more than likely have a full team by this point, and it is kind of late in the game to even consider adding Mantyke to your team.
There are some Trainers you can fight on Route 223, and some that you will want to battle are the Swimmer with the Lumineon right when you access Route 223, and there is another Swimmer that uses a Mantine, so that is where you can see them for your Pokédex.
When you get to where the Pokémon League is, use Waterfall to climb up there, and there is Victory Road, which you will have to go through, make sure you stock up on Max Repels before going through, and I recommend having some Pokémon at least Level 47 or higher, as the highest level wild Pokémon in Victory Road is at Level 47, I would say even Level 50 is good enough, as the Trainers in Victory Road are really tough, and most of them have Pokémon that are fully evolved, so you will have to buy some healing items, like Hyper Potions, Max Potions, Revives, Full Restores, and other sort of healing items before you go through Victory Road.
As with the levels of the Wild Pokémon in the Grand Underground, I will go over the number of badges and what levels the Pokémon are.
1 Badge: Level 16-20
2 Badges: Level 25-29
3 Badges: Level 29-33
4 Badges: Level 33-37
5 Badges: Level 36-40
6 Badges: Level 39-43
7 Badges: Level 42-46
8 Badges: Level 50-55

After getting Waterfall, more Pokémon show up in the Grand Underground, like Gabite, Octillery, Whiscash, and Mantyke, and as they come at a high level, they can work well as team members, not so much with Mantyke or Whiscash, but with Gabite, you can level it up once to get Garchomp right away.
