I have beaten the Elite Four, and all that is left is the Champion, who is considered to be the toughest Trainer in all of Sinnoh. The Champion battle is said to be the hardest fight in the game, I would even say this is the hardest fight in the entire Pokémon series, because the Champion has some very powerful Pokémon that are EV Trained, have competitive movesets, held items, and are at a high level, so be prepared when fighting against the Champion.

As for the rest of the description, I recommend watching the full video before reading past this point of the description

Get ready for the Champion battle, this is considered by many to be the hardest battle in the entire Pokémon series, and it was very challenging back in the original Diamond & Pearl.
When you enter the Champion's room, Cynthia will be waiting there, and she is your final opponent, and that is really good music. I like the piano theme that plays before battling Cynthia, and I do like how they remade her battle theme, I would say it's one of my favourite songs in the game, really unfortunate that the Super Smash Bros. for 3DS & Wii U remix of that battle theme is very underwhelming. Here is her team of Pokémon, this shows that she is not holding anything back against you.
Spirtiomb: Shadow Ball, Dark Pulse, Psychic, Sucker Punch (Sitrus Berry)
Roserade: Dazzling Gleam, Shadow Ball, Sludge Bomb, Energy Ball (Expert Belt)
Gastrodon: Scald, Earthquake, Sludge Bomb, Rock Tomb (Leftovers)
Lucario: Aura Sphere, Dragon Pulse, Flash Cannon, Nasty Plot (Wise Glasses)
Milotic: Recover, Mirror Coat, Ice Beam, Scald (Flame Orb)
Garchomp: Dragon Claw, Earthquake, Swords Dance, Poison Jab (Yache Berry)

What makes this battle difficult is that Cynthia's team is EV Trained and have competitive movesets, in the original games, her Pokémon had 31 IVs in all 6 of their stats. I will go over each of her Pokémon, Spiritomb now has a weakness to Fairy-type moves, it isn't the most challenging out of her Pokémon, and I have heard about players using that Spiritomb for setting up stats and sweeping her team, as it does tend to use Sucker Punch sometimes.
Roserade has an Expert Belt, and its moves can really hurt, Shadow Ball provides coverage against Psychic-types, any Fire or Flying-types you have can work against it. Gastrodon is the easiest out of her team, use a Grass-type if you have one, but watch out for Sludge Bomb, Cynthia does tend to switch in Gastrodon if you are using a Water-type Pokémon to take advantage of its Storm Drain. Lucario has Nasty Plot to make its Special Attacks hit harder, so don't let it set up too much, her Milotic is a nuisance, it has Marvel Scale, it has a Flame Orb, and it knows Recover, it can wall you if you don't have a good counter to it, and it can use Mirror Coat to send back any Special moves you use against it.
The last Pokémon on her team is the dreaded Garchomp, in the original games, that Garchomp knew Dragon Rush and Giga Impact, while they were powerful moves, Dragon Rush didn't have perfect accuracy, and if it used Giga Impact, this will render Garchomp unable to act for a turn. In this game, not only does it have the more accurate Dragon Claw, Garchomp has Swords Dance, so if it sets up, you are in danger, and it knows Poison Jab to give it a way to deal with Fairy-type Pokémon, and it is holding a Yache Berry to reduce the damage from Ice-type moves, this Garchomp is capable of sweeping your entire team if you come in here unprepared.
This is possibly the most challenging Champion fight in any Pokémon game ever, and Cynthia was a challenging opponent in the original games, but this game takes it a step even further by giving her Pokémon competitive movesets, have them EV Trained, and have held items. After you have beaten her, you will then enter the Hall of Fame, and then the credits will roll, this is not the end, there is the after-game coming up.
As with my thoughts of this game, while this game is basically Diamond & Pearl, but remade, it did add a bit more challenge than the originals, specially with the Gym Leaders, the Elite Four, and even the Champion, and I did approve of the Grand Underground giving you more options in Pokémon that are not in the Sinnoh Dex, some of when being in Platinum's Sinnoh Dex. There are some negatives that I have with this game, I am not a fan of the chibi style, most people like it, but I do like how in battle, the Trainers use the same style from Sword & Shield and other modern games, another thing I don't like is TMs being one use, which is a step back, and this game not having the Platinum Dex, which was what I was hoping for when seeing Diamond & Pearl remakes, I can understand they are keeping true to the originals, but it is still a good game, even without any Platinum content in the main story.
