Project X (Amiga) - A Playguide and Review - by LemonAmiga.com
Another highly polished Amiga classic from Team 17. But is this game legendary for the right reasons? Or is it just unbalanced as heck!

Sadly, as you can see in the review, I didnt get beyond level 2. I have got to level 3 a few times before but luck and judgement was not on my side on this try; even with the 'easier' 93 special edition.
Production Notes:

Version 3 Revision 2
The production of this game was relatively quick, although I did make an extra rip of the '92 edition before I started because I realised the original two-level playthru was missing the top and bottom parts of the screen, including much of the powerup bar. On this second rip I didnt even get off level 1 because of the way the first game made the level harder, so this footage ended up going in as a major (unfair) element of the game.
The voice-over was done in one take (I love it when that happens) and only a few small sections had to be trimmed and edited; particularly the first level boss section; which contained four 'certainly's' in a row. I often say Certainly, So, and Basically, and I must then weed out the most serious offenders. After playing Superfrog recently it gave me a chance to put the screen-out of Project F in there. The day before release I also tweeked the volume of the intro music (rather than boost my voice over the footage I found its faster and easier to simply lower the volume of the intro music!), twiddled the screen sizes yet again (sorry if its too wide now), and added a few captions to try to inject some humour. In a moment of madness I also changed the final average score rating from 8.5/10 (which is more accurate) to 9/10 as an average, but I should have left it alone as 8.5 is more suitable for this game which I'd personally rate 7/10.
