Savage (Amiga) - A Playguide and Review - By LemonAmiga.com
The second game in our 'lesser known' series sees us branch into the first of six games based on combat. We start with Savage, a small title with lots of charm and terrific memorable music throughout. Can this game stand up to my 90's memories? Kinda, but the gameplay... oh brother!

In some reviews, its hard to keep my voice up over the game, and I feel like I'm shouting over it, but savage was the exception. The voice was done in generally one take (ignoring the 'what the heck am I saying' pauses which always goes along with these things) and required virtually no redubs or endless volume modifications which took so much time on other reviews. I had fun making up some captions but fell short of mocking the game by having fake drop-down captions of my own, as that might disappoint players of the real game. The Raikkonen Rules was an F1 radio commentary joke, where Kimi basically said 'yeah yeah, stop bothering me every 5 seconds", and thats how I felt about the annoying captions.
There was a lot I wanted to say but forgot, like how large those dragons are on the Amiga, compared to the avoidable 'micro things' on the C64, and the weird green moon things? on the 8bits. The music of level 1 is the best part about the whole game, and is worth playing the game for just to hear it.
Apart from that, the last things to be added were the ARGG's in level 2 and the Pacman and 'Living Dead' caption in level 3 when I realised I had no health but still alive! The Pacman came from IK+, a game we will be reviewing soon.
