QEMU Beyond GOOD & EVIL (2003) (EAX) -- From Install to Play in 15 Mins
In conjunction with 20th Anniversary Edition of the Game, QEMU featuring qemu-3dfx proudly presents the 2003 PC Retail Originality of Beyond GOOD & EVIL in pristine condition, From Install to Play in 15 Mins on modern systems. The 2003 PC version was the BEST & HIGHEST quality version among the console releases (PS2, XBOX and GameCube), but was likely plagued by high system requirements and paled in comparison to console guaranteed playability. The PC version supported high-resolution rendering out-of-box into ANY resolution reported by Direct3D9 and EAX audio. Though the game was a commercial flop upon release, it still earned another HD Remaster in 2011 for the console versions which basically just updating the Game rendering at 720p for 2011 consoles.
QEMU featuring qemu-3dfx brings modern CPU virtualization coupled with TRUE 3D acceleration of modern GPU to relive the Game on modern Linux and Windows in the BEST & HIGHEST quality with EAX support from DSOAL/OpenAL-Soft. WineD3D delivers high performance rendering in Direct3D 9.0c Shader Model 2.0 through MESAGL-passthrough on any modern GPUs regardless of Linux or Windows. While QEMU USB Gamepad offers console-like gaming experience with any kinds of Game Controllers, wired or wireless, simple keyboard & mouse inputs are equally great with wheel support and absolutely lag-free.
For whatever "Trash"Boxes or "JUNK_PC"em, for such endless spewing of **\*Accuracy BS\***, they are decades behind, if not, in ETERNITY to bring advanced 3D rendering beyond their "freaking fast" 3Dfx Voodoos. The so-called **\*RETARDED and STUPID\*** "accuracy"-trick by having device timings synchronized to CPU, they are inadvertently flawed in real-time experience that leads to crippling audio and inputs lag. Oh, the 20th Anniversary Edition has indeed been such a relief and grace saving for STUPID emulations, just play the game on any modern PCs and forget about any STUPID emulations that can't even manage 20-year old Good Old Games on 125W TDP Core i9-14900K. Oh, don't even need to mention any GPUs, they are just scrap metal for STUPID emulations that don't know how to exploit them.
Ubisoft Beyond GOOD & EVIL definitely delivered its charms throughout the years. The 2003 PC version also received GOG treatment to be able to play on modern systems and DRM-free. And in the game 20th anniversary, the Anniversary Edition was released on Steam with more refined geometry models and shaders at 4K in 60 FPS.

A BIG shout-out THANK YOU for those generously supported the project and Games Preservation. While not every PC game could have the favors of Beyond GOOD & EVIL for a modern Anniversary Edition from sales flop 20 years ago, the publisher Ubisoft deserved the kudos for giving the Game IP a modernized second life.
