QEMU Classic Retro Games on MacBook Air M1 -- Dungeon Keeper GOLD & Deeper Dungeon
Dungeon Keeper GOLD & the expansion Deeper Dungeon by BullFrog Productions, the Classic Retro Games that many would still cherish and fond of replaying through the missions. Dark humors and unique RTS games on its own style, released in 1997 for the DOS version and later with the final official patch that brought Direct3D acceleration for the original game and the expansion. Windows 95 DirectDraw software-rendered versions were also available. The 1998 GOLD retail CD release bundled everything including the expansion, fully updated and included all versions -- DOS, Win95 DirectDraw and Direct3D. It is the best collector's version to keep for retro gaming.
The video showed off the best versions of the Games, the Direct3D version, with Windows 98 QEMU Virtual Machine in the highest quality and up-stretched 640x480 rendering into the entirety of MacBook Air retina screen in 1440x900. The Apple M1 CPU & GPU are more than enough to play the games in their full glory. The GAMES looked & played great despite being 25 years old. The up-stretched high-resolution graphics revitalized the games' look & feel tremendously. Both the GAME and the expansion are fully preserved in "pristine condition", absolutely no fans' mods and source-port. Just rip the CD, install as usual in the VM and ready to play at anytime, anywhere from Windows, Linux and macOS, including any fan-less, thin & light ultra-mobiles, such as the MacBook Air M1. QEMU brought many legendary PC games into macOS M1 even after the demise of 32-bit software support in macOS that trashed the compatibility of all native OS X/macOS ports.
