Best of Lara Croft Tomb Raider PC Games from the late 90's
- 1996 Tomb Raider 3Dfx
- 1997 Tomb Raider II
- 1998 Tomb Raider III
- 1999 Tomb Raider The Last Revelation
- 2000 Tomb Raider Chronicles
All the Best of the Games in retail CD originality, restored to perfection by QEMU Virtual Machine. Absolutely no 3rd-party patches, no fans' mods, no source-ports. Simple & straight forward installation just like that back in the late 90's on real PCs and ready to play on modern systems, from Windows, Linux to Apple M1 macOS. Every aspects of the games, the CD music, high quality audio, in-game FMV and high resolution True 3D accelerated rendering are all there, delivering the best game experience on modern systems, preserving the games in timeless manner into the future.
All the Games are laptops friendly with support for customized keyboard controls and they do not even take up lots of VM disk space. The ripped CD ISO/CUE/BIN can simply stay in the Host and shared into Windows Guest with QEMU VVFAT for Daemon Tools to mount them. For laptops with high quality calibrated display, such as the MacBook Air M1, the rendered colors saturation look so much better than most real, period-correct Retro PC.
Unlike "the other camp" low-quality, low-res CPU rendered 3D acceleration called "freaking fast" and tons of *BS* about "accuracy" such as "Voodoo must Blur" resulted in "washed" colors and requiring 4GHz+ overclocked CPUs with brain-retarded tweaks into LAUGHABLE game experience for 20-year old Games on 125W Core i9 12900KF, all the Games work well at locked 30 FPS from any Intel/AMD PC/laptops from the last 7 years in QEMU with KVM/WHPX acceleration in Linux/Windows. The Apple M1 is actually the weakest among those due to lacking x86 Virtualization, but the Apple M1 GPU sort of makes up for the Games good leverage of 3D accelerated rendering.
The 1996 Tomb Raider 3Dfx is a DOS game but can be played from Windows 98 DOS just fine, leveraging the OS protected-mode CD-ROM support without the need of DOS real-mode CD-ROM driver. Sound Blaster Pro emulation is realized by the OS kernel-mode WDM Audio without requiring QEMU to emulate Sound Blaster 16. There was a hiccup during screen recording on the MacBook Air M1, otherwise the Game is guaranteed 30 FPS locked all-time during gameplay.
A Wonderful Game experience anywhere & anytime in relaxed and comfort, enjoying the games' recreation of archeological marvels or the acrobatic motions of the Gorgeous Babe!! Have Fun!!
