Those are quite the limit of what qemu-3dfx can deliver. Going beyond Direct3D9 isn't yet an interesting endeavor as far as Retro Gaming is concerned. Windows 11 or modern Linux will manage those games well on native graphics stacks without having to go for virtual machines. Nevertheless, betting on GPUs makes so much more sense than the RETARDED decisions of banging only the CPUs. Even the thrills of Apple Silicon had been winding down that break-throughs in CPU performance are hard to achieve in near future. The next-gen AMD Ryzen APUs with RDNA3 and LPDDR5-6400 are around the corner and they essentially doubled the GPU resources and memory bandwidth compared to Intel Iris Xe Graphics. QEMU featuring qemu-3dfx will continue to harness the advances in modern GPUs while laughing off the "TRASH"Box or "JUNK-PC"em that fail to deliver any meaningful Direct3D9 class graphics in emulation. For anyone to believe their YouTuber fans that "TRASH"Box or "JUNK-PC"em are great for Retro Games, they must be living in their delusions and spreading falsehood to uninformed audience.
