Quickplay - Go Fish! [Windows]
Go Fish! is a somewhat obscure game developed by Dynamix, Inc., and published by Knowledge Adventure, I'm guessing, in 1998. I couldn't find any real history on the game, although Knowledge Adventure is well known for educational software, most notably the Jump Start games, and Dynamix is well known as a subsidiary of Sierra, publishing games like Red Baron (1 and 2\3D), Lionel Train Town Deluxe, and 3-D Ultra Radio Control Racers. As far as the game goes, Go Fish! is a kid's fishing game, where kids get to, well, fish. There are 8 lakes to choose from, each strongly stocked with one type of fish, such as trout, but also featuring other kinds of fish like bass, bluegill, and catfish. Players can choose from multiple game modes, such as tournament mode, fishing trip (i.e. free play mode), as well as an instant action mode. While the game is a kids game, it does feature some pretty realistic fishing, with different types of lures, changing weather, and stress on the fishing line. The graphics are also decent, being very high quality 2D graphics. Overall this is a pretty solid game, and I think even adults can get some fun from this game. The soundtrack is really memorable, and the gameplay is solid. No sequels were produced to my knowledge.
