Rallisport Challenge (2002) - Every PC Rally Game
0Rallisport Challenge by Digital Illusions / Microsoft, 2002.
Digital Illusions followed up their earlier game "Michelin Rally Masters - Race of Champions" with this title for Microsoft. This was also an early game on the original Xbox console.
The PC version looks very clean, but does suffer a bit from the jitters in-game. The handling is also somewhere in-between great (on rallycross/ice racing) and twitchy (in rally/hillclimb events).
I've turned the music off here, so you can hear how similar all the cars sound!
It's a shame that the highly regarded sequel, Rallisport Challenge 2, was left as an Xbox console exclusive. This was the last racing game Digital Illusions (later DICE) would release on the PC (although they collaborated in production of the world seen in Need For Speed Hot Pursuit in 2010).
