Ratchet & Clank: Part 1: Two Unlikely Allies in Veldin
4Spyro the Dragon was to Insomniac Games what Crash Bandicoot was to Naughty Dog. Two big time platformer franchises that started on the original Playstation.
Just the same, when Naughty Dog moved on from Crash to create Jak & Daxter, Insomniac moved on from Spyro to create Ratchet & Clank. Both duos were two big time platformers that got their start on the Playstation 2.

Ratchet is a cat-like creature called a Lombax, who lived on Planet Veldin. He was finishing up his new rocket ship, but the last thing he was missing was a Robotic Ignition System.
Meanwhile, on Planet Quartu, Clank was recently born, or rather built, though that was not his name yet. He was a rejected robot for being different from all of the others.
He decided to steal away a nearby Infobot and escape from the planet with its important details, and enemy ships were hot on his tracks. They even gunned him down and caused him to crash in Veldin, a long distance away from where Ratchet was.
Ratchet decided to stop tweaking his ship to check out the crash.

Even though this game is from the makers of Spyro, you're gonna be controlling Ratchet a bit more like he was Crash with different guns. You start out with the Bomb Glove, but you will soon find Gadgetron Vendors that will let you buy new weapons, or just buy some ammo for the weapons you already have.
Ratchet's basic weapon is his OmniWrench 8000. He can swing the wrench around, do an overhead Hyper-Strike, or use a Comet-Strike to toss it like a boomerang. You'll also be using it to turn big screws like the big wrench that it is.

Ratchet found Clank in the crater he made. The robot did not move, so the Lombax decided to take him back home.
As Ratchet continued working on his ship, Clank spooked him after he woke up. He show him the Infobot he stole with an urgent message.
And evil corporate chairman named Drek is trying to tear off huge chunks of other planets to make a new one for himself, even if it meant that the fractured planets from this would soon die and explode, too. He claimed that it was for a nice and noble cause to give his race, the Blarg, a new habitable home... but he was clearly being quite the selfish rich jerk.
Clank needed Ratchet's help to foil Drek's plans by helping him find the legendary galactic superhero known as Captain Quark, but Ratchet couldn't even get his ship started. Turned out that Clank has the Robotic Ignition System Ratchet need to start his ship.
These two unlikely allies decided to work together to travel through the Solana Galaxy to stop Chairman Drek, starting by heading to Planet Novalis per the coordinates of Clank's Infobot.
Unfortunately, Drek himself noticed their ship flying away from Veldin. So he hired his biggest, best henchman to try and get rid of Ratchet & Clank.
