Pyra and Mythra had a small chat in their dreamspace of Elysium.

They had felt that their hearts, or rather the bell that they've always heard here, had stopped. But they felt something else still calling out to them.

After Rex had just helped them, they realized they needed to return the favor and help, as well.
----------

After Rex's fight against Jin and Malos at the Cliffs of Morytha, he and his ascended Aegis felt through the Cloud Sea and landed in the Land of Morytha, itself.

The Aegis lost her awakened form at this time, leaving behind Mythra to be with Rex. She still wasn't too comfortable waking up next to him as she did. She also had to recollect how she thought of own sleeping habits. This made Rex realize that Mythra was back to sharing her feelings with Rex more.

Everyone else had fallen through the Cloud Sea, as well, so they had to concentrate on looking for their friends, as well as find a way towards the World Tree that they were very close to now, more than ever.
----------

As what happened at the finale of Chaper 7, you now have access to Pyra & Mythra's awakened form, which is called Pneuma.

With Pneuma out, Rex die in a fight. Pneuma also can not only strike any and all Elemental Orbs in a Chain, but she can also use ANY AND ALL BLADE COMBOS!

To use Pneuma in battle, bring Rex's Affinity with Pyra/Mythra to MAX, have all three bars of the Party Gauge filled, and then hold R before pressing X. You can even will this from another Driver if the same conditions are met with Rex.

Pneuma's own face portrait will represent her time limit. When it scrolls completely dark, she changes back to Pyra/Mythra, and they won't be able transform again until the battle is over.

On top of that, Pneuma gave Rex a new Master Driver outfit. This lets him use ALMOST EVERY BLADE IN THE GAME, even if it was already bonded with another Driver. This means you can have him even use Dromarch, Brighid, and Pandoria if you want (but still no Poppi).

As an extra bonus, because of this development, I finally decided to give Mythra her Massive Melee outfit that I got back in Chapter 4. This will cover her cleavage and give her stockings, but it also gives her a significant Critical Hit rate boost.

A bit further into the plot, you can have Rex choose whether or not Pneuma is still either called Pyra or Mythra, because "Pneuma" isn't a name they know yet at this point. Rex initially suggested just combining their names, like "Myra", or "Pythra".
----------

Further through the destroyed city, Rex & Mythra saw Jin in danger against a strange new kind of monster: a Guldo. Rex surprisingly wanted to help him out!
----------

I use Jin directly for a little while, but he's not as destructive as he used to be.

His most important art under your control is Heavenly Disrupt. First inflict a Break Art on your target, then use Heavenly Disrupt to make Jin go through the rest of the entire Driver Combo from a single attack. The finishing Smash will deal incredible damage!
----------

Rex remember seeing the sadness in Jin's eyes when he fought him at the Cliffs, but he didn't want to tell him that about why he saved him from that Guldo.

The Guldo was struck down more by one of Brigid's flames. She arrived on the scene with Poppi and Azurda. There were still more friends to find.

Jin lost consciousness from his last fight, but Rex convinced Mythra to use Pneuma, the Master Blade to heal him, but she found out something interesting about Jin.. He was a Flesh Eater Blade, too.

He also revealed that Morytha was a land that existed before Alrest; the Architect's birthplace.

For now, the team decided to just keep him in the group as they headed towards the World Tree.
----------

Again, as a Master Driver, Rex can now use Brighid, but not Poppi. Outside of that, without their original Drivers, you won't even be able to see them during gameplay.
----------

Further through the city, the group took a rest.

At one point, Brighid and Poppi wanted Jin to explain to them what his life was in the past.

Later on, Mythra talked with Poppi about how the Architect destroy his own creations. It made both of them worried that they would go out of control, too.

They decided to make a mutual promise. If Poppi ever went berserk, Mythra would swear to destroy her personally.

Likewise, Mythra wanted tell told Poppi a much more secret promise, but she wasn't ready, yet.
----------

Even later on, after fighting more Guldos, Rex's team realized how different the creatures were from anything else on Alrest. Jin suspected that they were leftovers from before Alrest even existed.

This all motivated them more to meet the Architect, but Jin doubted that he was as good as they were thinking he was.

The rest of Torna were trying to move their ship through the Cloud Sea to search for Jin in this ruined city. Malos had thoughts that Alrest itself was eventually going to fall just as Morytha did.
