Ratchet & Clank: Part 2: New Neighbors in Novalis
3When Ratchet & Clank leave Ratchet's home planet Veldin on his new ship, they finally introduce themselves.
Clank was originally give a complicated codename that Ratchet wasn't going to remember, so he was the one that gave Clank his simpler name.
On their way towards Planet Novalis, Drek had captured a representative of that planet, their own chairman, to explain how he's going to rip apart a huge part of his planet to add to his constructed one.
When the Novalis Chairman protested against this and threatened Drek with Captain Quark, Drek laughed this off and made his huge henchman take him away.

Ratchet & Clank entered Novalis with a bang... as in they crashed their ship when they entered the planet. They needed to find a new ship.
But that looked to be hard since Novalis' Tobruk Crater was busy being invaded by Drek's forces.

Here, you'll start finding Gadgetron Vendors where you can buy new weapons or ammo for your stock of weapons with Bolts.
The next weapon you can buy at this point is the Pyrocitor flamethrower. Get that, and soon you'll be breathing fire on foes like a purple dragon!

I suggest first going through the caves of this planet, and then the nice sewer it has.
Ratchet is not a graceful swimmer, and he drowns after a few seconds. This won't be a problem forever, though, and once it's been resolved, you will never have to worry about drowning again FOR THE REST OF THIS FRANCHISE!

You can also find Gold Bolts, usually in hidden areas, but they won't have much use until either very late into the game, or after you beat it, depending on what you do and where you go.

Make your way through the sewer, and you'll find a Plumber. The invasion of Novalis has him grumpy that he can't escape from it... because he's broke. The Working Class has to wait for Captain Quark to save people like him, but for all he knows, they'll likely be dead by the time he shows up, if he'll show up at all...
Lend a hand can give the man 500 Bolts, so he can afford to escape the planet, and he'll give you an Infobot in return.
The Infobot is for Planet Aridia. Pro Hoverboarder Skid McMarx and his agent were under attack in their ship. They were forced to eject and land in Aridia.

Now finally for the main route of Novalis. Get through all of its robots and past a broken bridge. You'll eventually reach a cargo ship that will release Novalis' Chairman when you beats its enemies.
He has another Infobot for the Galactic Duo. This one shows that Captain Quark is, or maybe was, on Planet Kerwan, promoting Big Al's Robot Shack in Metropolis.
When the Chairman realized that Ratchet & Clank weren't there to kill him, he was then willing to help them on their way to Kerwan with a courier ship
