Recently, there was an Art Panel featuring character artists from Insomniac Games. The Ratchet & Clank re-imagining for the PS4 has had a lot of major character design changes.

Gnomon, School of Visual Effects, Games + Animation has set up an art panel featuring workers from Insomniac Games. Character artists have shared with us what it felt like designing characters for the game.

Some characters have had major differences in designs, but some are easily recognizable despite the re-imagining. Some common enemies had to look similar to their original designs, but more modernized.

Some technical details about character modelling was also discussed during the panel. Captain Qwark's design looks very similar to his older design. Although similar, making his model for the movie required a lot more details.

The Ratchet & Clank PS4 Re-Imagining is set to release on April 12th 2016. The movie is getting released on April 29th 2016.
