11Surprise, surprise ... doesn't seem to be working :(
Fixed the broken part in the PSU and put it back together. I'm not too happy with how the 5-pin DIN plug from the computer plugs into the side of the PSU ... I might change it ... perhaps a 2.1mm socket on the machine itself like I did for the Ukrainian Robik (I'm not keen on hard-wired cables).
Made up an RGB cable as per the manual for my GBS8200 board.
... and we get garbage on the screen.
This machine uses the identical ULA (КА1515ХМ1-216) as the Red BYTE from Moldova ... and three out of three machines I've got don't work.
So this is now 4/4 failures for this ULA, in my experience. I do have three new-old-stock (NOS) that just arrived from Ukraine ... so I might try one.
But, I should do some further troubleshooting first ... I have to admit that I'm prejudiced against this particular ULA ... the Red BYTE has barely any parts so that's why I think it's the ULA. This machine has more parts ... but the same ULA ... so I'm automatically suspicious.
