In this episode of Retro Flashback, I take a look at The Super Spy for the Neo-Geo, the first game from the Neo-Geo featured on the show! This game isn't that well remembered in the annals of retro history but I think it's pretty cool and innovative as first-person arcade games were very rare, particularly ones with light RPG mechanics and multiple weapons. The Neo-Geo largely became a fighting game system in its later life but at launch, it had some really creative stuff which I think this shows.

The Super Spy is not currently available for digital purchase but if you are a Neo-Geo collector, finding it in cartridge form is not terribly expensive to do.
