A playthrough of Hi Tech Expressions' 1993 NES game, Rollerblade Racer.

Radiance Software (or Tahoe Software Productions, as they later rebadged themselves) had the tendency to make garbage. Not quite on the same level that THQ did, but between this and Darkwing Duck on the TG16, their products tend to speak for themselves.

If you imagine Paperboy, only with no papers to deliver, worse controls, and the lack of a viable audience, you have a pretty good idea of what to expect with Rollerblade Racer. It's also extremely easy if you're paying attention - the courses littered with the most obstacles have a nice sidewalk that you can take for the duration with virtually no obstructions whatsoever. The final stage can be finished by holding up alone after you get on the sidewalk in the beginning!

I'm also not entirely sure what message the game is trying to put across - it constantly gives safety tips, yet it encourages skating through busy crowded streets while jumping over babies and dogs? Call me silly, but I'm guessing most kids would have skipped over the screens of text about helmets, and most of the takeaway would have been from the gameplay itself.

That is, assuming they didn't take the cart out after five minutes and reach for Skitchin' instead.
