Royal wedding foot guards make the final touches ahead of the big day 20.04.11
Precision, planning and polish, the Guards who will be on parade on the day of the Royal Wedding are putting the final touches to their uniforms and drills. There will be 1500 troops on duty when Prince William marries Kate Middleton. They are one of the most famous sights for tourists visiting London but as they performed the Changing of the Guard today the foot guards' minds were on their big day, the 29th April. These are the soldiers who will be lining the route as the Prince and his new bride leave Westminster Abbey. Some of these soldiers are still just teenagers and only completed their basic training three weeks ago and the wedding will be their first public engagement. The Guards now have several late night rehearsals planned to ensure their drills are spot on ready for the wedding day.
