He just keeps on running! This could be Forrest’s greatest talent, but you will face great dangers and obstacles in this fun 3D mobile running game called Run Forrest Run. You will reminisce on the scenes of the movie Forrest Gump, and the aim here is to run and get the farthest distance possible. You will visit the famous Alabama and Route 66 as you run. Avoid crashing on the obstacles like cars and traffic barricades. And to make things more interesting, you get to pick-up power-ups in the game that will share nice moments for Forrest; driving the lawnmower or fly using the hang glider.

Endless runners are fast becoming the most common free games out there, and with that in mind, we're bound to see a few games that tie in the endless runner mechanic to various pop culture icons. Enter Run Forrest Run, an endless running game featuring everyone's favorite Forrest Gump. Silly? Perhaps. But it works, and it's fun, and often that's all that matters.

Sure, at first glance, you might very well be thinking "What? A Forrest Gump endless runner? Just because of that one line from the movie? That's ridiculous! Besides, this movie came out years ago!" While you would not exactly be at fault for your complaint about the age of the movie, don't be so quick to dismiss the game. While it may indeed be rather late to the endless runner party, and while it might also be true that it's a bit silly to make a Forrest Gump game now, the fact still stands that it's a fun game in its own right, and it's worth playing.

Like many other endless runners, the game is in 3D. This game doesn't try for realistic 3D though, so don't expect a picture-perfect Tom Hanks running across your screen any time soon. That said, the game has pretty great 3D, with the cartoony effect working well for the game. There are all sorts of things happening on the screen at once, from the endless traffic, to the gold coins, to the ever-changing backgrounds. There's a visual treat everywhere you look, and the bright colors and excellent eye for detail make running through the game a real treat. Add to that the great audio, and you've got a winner.

The controls are fairly similar to other endless runners. You'll be swiping left and right, and also up and down, to do all sorts of things. Mainly, you'll be choosing among the three lanes. You will, of course, have to deal with the occasional vertical movement as you jump over obstacles or slide under the same, because let's be honest, what fun would the game be without that challenge? The controls are easy to get a hang of, but really mastering them so that you can make the right moves without having to think about it takes some time to master. Once you do though, you'll be swiping like crazy keeping up with the frantic pace of the game.

At the start, the game seems like a typical runner, where all you really do is run. It also starts off easily enough, but the pace soon picks up, getting ever more frantic. And as it does, you'll be treated to all sorts of different running modes. Everything from driving a lawnmower, to soaring through the air on a hang glider, or even getting fired out of a cannon into oncoming traffic. Great fun.

And that wraps it up for Run Forrest Run. If you're in the mood for a good, solid endless runner, then go on and give this game a shot. It's free, and it's fun, so go on and garb yourself a download!
