They may be tiny in the eyes of many, but they sure pack a lot of punches. Join their team to defeat evil in this fun strategy game called Tiny Busters. The game's rule is to destroy the enemy's home base. You need to deploy your tiny busters on the field and let them charge onto the enemies. But do not be so confident because your enemies also have powerful units that can defeat your tiny busters. Deploy the right character and onto the right lane to assure your victory. You can also enhance your tiny busters and evolve them into powerful units.

Defense shooters are pretty fun. They're simple, and they still manage to give you a bit of a rush while you're playing, especially once things start getting really frantic and you're tapping and swiping away like some sort of deranged madman trying to stop imaginary beasties and bad guys from invading your fortress. This game has just that level of frantic pacing, and packs just as much fun. Welcome to Tiny Busters.

Sure, the name might not exactly inspire any grandiose images of defense madness, shooting, and whatnot, but it's still a solid game. It may be a bit on the cutesy side, but no one ever said that cutesy games had to be bad just because they were cutesy. Cutesy. You know how when you say a word too often...? Yeah, that word just lost all meaning for me now... Anyways. The game does look like it's aimed at children, but if you give it a shot, you'll find it's got solid gameplay and an excellent fun factor.

As aforementioned, the game is rather cutesy (ugh, that word again). This doesn't mean that the graphics are simple though. A lot of detail has gone into the graphics, making each sprite and each background really come to life with the level of artistry and detail that's gone into them. This is the same for the good guys and the bad guys, though it must be said that the bad guys tend to come off as being more interesting, as is the bailiwick of bad guys everywhere, curse them. The backgrounds have this same level of detail, and that's a good thing. THe backgrounds are mostly the same from level to level, but they never really get boring as the sheer level of aesthetic quality in them prevents things from getting dull.

The controls are pretty easy to get a grip on. Mostly, it's just tapping and swiping, so unless you've never swiped a screen before, it should be easy as cake and a piece of pie to play. Of course, like any game in the genre, getting a hang of the controls is a completely different kettle of fish from mastering those controls and turning into a real pro. While there might not be much in the way of manual dexterity when it comes to this game, as opposed to say, platformers, there is still a measure of timing needed, as you'll need to get a hang of the timing as you deploy your troops.

As a defense game, you'll be defending (duh) against hordes and hordes of bad guys. To do so, you'll have to deploy your own waves of troops, the eponymous tiny busters, who will travel mindlessly (but oh so enthusiastically!) towards the bad guys, attacking with every dirty trick in the book. Your goal is simple, get them before they get you. It's easy, and it's loads of fun.

And that wraps it up for this review. If you're in the market for some great defense shooting action, then put that wallet away, because Tiny Busters is free, it's fun, and it's a single click away from downloading!
