Badlands Game (1-10 lvl) (Android & iOS)
Get ready to be amazed and get curious in this simple yet challenging physics-based game. Badland has more to offer than just shadows and obstacles inside. The main objective in this game is to control your unique creature and try to reach the exit. There are no timers but you will be halted down by various obstacles inside the area. Once you found the exit, you will be placed on the next level instantly. There are also special items along the way that can either help you or slow you down. These items have the ability to make you small or big, so watch out.

Flappy Bird might not have done it first, and it certainly didn't do it best, but it absolutely did it most famously. Since it rolled around, many other games have been coming along that build on its basic premise (or just copy it with a different design scheme without even bothering to change anything, but oh well) and adding all sorts of different mechanics. Some of these are pretty terrible, but every so often one comes around that works wonders and comes off as a vastly superior successor. This game, Badlands, is one such game.
With a name like Badlands, you'd expect this to be some sort of post-apocalyptic shooter, or maybe a post-apocalyptic stealth/survival game, or perhaps even a post-apocalyptic racer with shooting elements where you have to survive by driving... I dunno, stealthily? It's none of that though, but that doesn't take away anything from how neat the game is.
The first thing you'll notice when playing this game is that it looks amazing. The foreground and the main player and interactive elements may all be black silhouettes, but that doesn't detract at all. In fact, it makes for a rather interesting experience, as the stark and simple visuals really bring you into the game. It is, however, overlaid upon gorgeously drawn and rendered backgrounds, further enhancing the effect. The parallax effects work wonders as well, adding a great deal of depth to the game. And just about everywhere you look, whether the highly polished backgrounds or the stark foregrounds, there's always more detail to be seen.
The sounds fit in just as well with the graphics. They are simple, yet engrossing. There's no music to speak of, but the ambient sounds of the areas you're traversing make for an excellent backdrop to the gameplay. Add to that the excellent sound effects you get as you bounce around all over the place, and you've got a winner.
As with other clones, you only really have a single button to press. Unlike other clones though, mastering this takes more than simply controlling your vertical movement. Granted, there isn't really anything that allows you to control horizontal movement, but with the way the game is designed and the way the levels are laid out, it's something that you'll have to take into consideration. That is, more than the typical horizontal movement of the scrolling screen.
This game, unlike other clones, has more than just single obstacles. Also, rather than insta-death upon hitting the ceiling or the ground, you will find yourself bumping into those rather often. The obstacles you do face however, are the remnants of what are perhaps the post-apocalyptic (yes!) carcasses of industry. You'll see spinning rotor blades, whirling propellers, churning gears, and spiky... spikes? I guess? It takes some skill then, to navigate all of those. Add to that the various powerups and tricks you can pick up along the way, and you've got a real winner of a game.
And that wraps it up for this little piece. If you're looking for something with gameplay as simple as Flappy Bird's, but with a great deal more visual panache and ambiance, then go on and grab yourself a free copy of Badlands!
