Seijin Plays Super Mario RPG Armageddon Part 2 : Mushroom Way
4Super Mario RPG Armageddon is a fanmade hack of Super Mario RPG, by Dark Kefka. Its goal is to make the game more challenging and giving even veterans of the game a run for their money. Not only do monsters get a stat overhaul, but they also get completely new attacks. Additionally, there are countless several difference here and there. Weaponry, magic, items... everything has changed.
This video covers the battle information/demo by Toad, and most of Mushroom Way. While you can skip the battle demonstration, it is very useful not to in the hack, because the battle nets you good experience, coins, and a Bad Mushroom (255 damage on an enemy).
I fight a few random battles in Mushroom Way with the intent of reaching level 3 before the Hammer Brothers boss battle. I would like to note that there is currently a slight typo in the experience one enemy gives in Mushroom Way, and I did not abuse it in this game. In short, there is a one-time battle event that gives 200 experience instead of 20 experience, which can easily shoot Mario's level to 6 right away, and make the few following areas far too easy. Dark Kefka said he decided to leave that typo in until the next update on July 9th, so that people who start the game in time can get that little bonus. When I initially started playing, I didn't know about it, so I just took it and proceeded normally. It's only afterwards that I noticed it was a mistake on his part. When I started a new game (this playthrough), it was with the idea of not taking advantage of this.
