Seijin Plays FFT 1.3034 Easytype, Part 43 : Germinas Peak
In the vanilla version of Final Fantasy Tactics, I hardly ever used Orlandu. I know I used him during my first ever playthrough back in 2002 or somewhere around that, but that's about it. He is overpowered. Once he joins the party, he can pretty much solo the rest of the game.
In FFT 1.3, he has been considerably nerfed to bring him down to high tier level (instead of god level). He is still very powerful, but he lost most of the sword skills he had in the original game, instead having only a skill or two from different skill sets rather than having them all. I believe his stats are slightly lower, but I might be wrong about that.
This battle is not really difficult, with or without Orlandu (although his presence made things a lot easier). However, one of the enemies, the ninja, had a Setiemson perfume, which I wanted to steal. I honestly dislike stealing in FFT because it generally takes a long time and is boring, or I have to change my strategy a lot to accomodate the idea of stealing stuff. And it also means I have to keep an enemy longer than I want to, which can be dangerous.
I won't go into deep details, as I think this battle is fairly straightforward. Enemy sages hurt, Orlandu kills stuff, and I steal the Setiemson at the end. To be fair, I struggled a bit to survive, but considering that this was my very first attempt at this battle, I think you can consider it easy when going out of my way to revive the ninja to steal her perfume and such.
At around the 20th minute mark, it's just the enemy ninja left, and I struggle just to keep resurrecting Ramza and keeping him alive so that he steals her perfume. The battle ended up lasting far longer than it should have. You can stop watching at the 20th minute or so, because you know I win easily, but hold myself from attacking her so I can steal her perfume. You can consider the battle won at that point.
... and while at it, I decided to steal the rest of her equipment and have Orlandu pick up the two crystals on the left side of the map, since he joins the party with barely any abilities unlocked.
