Shadowrun Returns: Dead Man’s Switch Part 18: Speak to Me, Spirits
So, after stopping by the Union to get together one badass team, we then head out back to the Docks for our little night time activities unfortunately though, it seems we aren’t the only people who want to see what’s happening down in the storage room either. We meet a group of runners in the last video who appear to be here to find some information that they want to sell but, for whatever reason, they think we are a threat and need to be killed (I guess they don’t want any witnesses which makes sense; I want to assume that things like multiple groups of runners meeting one another during jobs is a rather common occurrence). I think I already mentioned my thoughts on the combat so I wanted to ramble about something kind of annoying to deal with instead; During some of the more dangerous missions, the combat mechanics won’t fade away meaning we have to traverse the map using Action Points rather than just normally walking around. I’m not sure if it was more bothersome to transition to this combat mode at the start of every encounter or you are supposed to be moving slower because the area is dangerous/you aren’t sure when you are going to see any more enemies. Either way, it does get a little annoying when the maps a much bigger; This time around it wasn’t as bad but, there is a mission later where they make you back track which makes moving around a little tedious.
