A quick update to Part 1 showing "4 line display" IC Cards in action. When I bought my PA-8500 originally in Japan in 1989/1990, the four-line display was quite new so there were no IC Cards available yet to take advantage of the additional two lines of display. When I returned home to Australia, the IC Cards for the Western machines were not compatible.
