Here's a new technique to glitch up set pieces around the game: if you simultaneously win (i.e. skip) and fail a set piece, the win & fail cutscenes and code combine, causing various strange and unpredictable results.

This video shows all the unique results I could find from the Mayan Temple area during the finale of the case A Study in Green.

0:00 - 1st floor, poison floor tiles. If you get poisoned and win simultaneously, Holmes skips to next area but is shown stumbling to the floor. However, just a few seconds later a new checkpoint kicks in and he's right as rain again.

0:16 - since you can move earlier while choking, it's possible to escape through the doors that close behind Holmes after choosing to "skip". This just lets you enter an unloaded area and fall Out of Bounds.

(Not on the vid: if you quit and "Continue" after doing the above, or most of the other glitches listed below, the game will load Holmes back out of bounds. Yes, you can make your save unwinnable with these glitches. But at least there are back-ups provided by the game itself, so I wouldn't be too worried...)

(Not on the vid: since this is an Unreal Engine game, if the game's loading is at all similar to DmC, you might be able to reach other maps from out of bounds if they were somewhere underneath. But that is a long shot...)

(Not on the vid: the 2nd floor rotating room is not deadly at all, so I couldn't find a way to overlap events there.)

(Not on the vid: the 3rd floor rolling stone event can't be "skipped", preventing doing this type of glitches in that area.)

(Not on the vid: the 4th floor collapsing floor cutscene didn't cause any glitches although I tried several times.)

0:34 - 5th floor, the return of poison floor tiles. Doing this glitch here causes Holmes to get a massive speed boost and fly off map for some reason. However, I don't think this could come in handy in a speedrun, mainly because you can't control the flight. You are also too low to reach the next puzzle room this way.

1:01 - 5th floor, getting crushed. This just seems to push Holmes under the floor, again making him fall OoB.

1:27 - 6th floor, rickety bridge. The timing for this one is pretty hard. After doing the glitch, Holmes appears elsewhere and makes a splash on ground level. After that he suddenly re-appears near the start of the bridge. Things seem normal at first, but failing at the set piece makes him fall endlessly to OoB because the death collision isn't active underneath the bridge.

(Not on the vid: if you backtrack a bit from the bridge, the set piece becomes active again and the glitch is effectively over.)

2:12 - finale puzzle. Well, this glitch is unrelated to the new glitch technique, but if you choose to "skip" this puzzle and THEN extremely quick activate one of the buttons, the ensuing cutscene fades out by itself, followed by Holmes walking up to the button and using it. Whether it's a correct or wrong button, the game is softlocked afterwards because you never regain control of Holmes and can't open menus either.

Speaking of which, what should be the name of this technique? ...failskipping?

(Not on the vid: you might be able to create unique results by winning a set piece and skipping simultaneously as well, but the timing for doing that is much, much harder, and so it hasn't been tested yet.)
