In this video we test out and review the Retro-bit Super Retrio Trio+ HDMI-equipped NES, SNES, Super Famicom, Genesis and Megadrive compatible clone system.

Order your Retro-bit Super Retro Trio+ from Castlemaniagames.com just like I did at https://goo.gl/FjJ9gm

When it comes to retro gaming I have a sweet spot in my heart for the NES, Super NES and Genesis. These three systems represent the pinnacle of what amazing gaming was all about. Retro-bit is making it easier for people to enjoy their retro games in gorgeous 720p HDMI with their new Super Retro Trio+, compatible with these three machines from the golden age of 80's and 90's gaming.

The Super Retro Trio+ comes in different colors for different regions, the red and white one here is for the NTSC/North American market. The front of the console features controller ports for Super NES, NES and Genesis controllers, including the NES Max, NES Advantage, Super NES Advantage and the Retro-bit Duallink Controllers for both the NES and Super NES featuring Megaman and Ryu from Street Fighter 2. If you have an original controller or accessory odds are it will work with this system. It is also region-free thanks to the selector switch on the front next to the controller ports. Super awesome!

One of my favorite aspects of the system is the fact that it uses a Micro USB port for power. This means I can use my USB power hub to provide the power for the system. For those who would rather use the included power brick you can, I just like using this setup for simplicity and to have fewer things plugged into my surge protector.

Table of Contents:
Chapter 1: NES
3:39 - 5:31 - Super Mario Bros
5:32 - 7:14 - Castlevania 3
7:15 - 8:23 - RC Pro Am

Chapter 2: Genesis
8:24 - 9:24 - Sonic The Hedgehog 2
9:25 - 10:47 - Sonic 3 & Sonic & Knuckles
10:48 - 13:00 - Streets of Rage 2

Chapter 3: Super Game Boy
13:01 - 14:13 - Donkey Kong Land
14:14 - 15:31 - R-type Deluxe

Chapter 4: Super NES
15:31 - 16:44 - Super Mario RPG (SFC)
16:45 - 18:10 - Yoshi's Island (SFC)
18:11 - 23:54 - Star Fox (SNES)

Why it RoX:
- 3 retro systems for $80
- All-in-one design
- Played everything I threw at it, even Sonic & Knuckles & Sonic 3
- Stock controllers are quite good
- Micro USB power
- Compatible with aftermarket and OEM controllers
- Best HDMI-equipped Genesis clone I have played to this point

What could be improved?
- NES audio and pallet are not as accurate as other systems
- SNES audio seemed over-driven
- Not compatible with any Game Genies

Should you buy one?
I believe that, for the casual enthusiast this is the best value on the market right now. For only $10 more than the Supa Retron HD OR $10 LESS than the AtGames Genesis Flashback HD you get a system that plays practically every NES, SNES, Super Famicom, Genesis and Megadrive cartridge ever made. Combine that with 2 great controllers and an NTSC/PAL switch and you have a winner.

The audio does seem to be off on both the NES and SNES side & the NES pallet seems off, both of which were disappointing. But this system does a lot more good than bad which is why I'd say you should give it a look. For the money it provides a lot of value and fun.
