This basics video tutorial shows you the quick and dirty way how to setup ultra fast a minimap in GameMaker Studio.

How can this be done? Well, all you need are two cameras being active. One that is regulary following the player and showing only a part of the level plus zooming in and a second camera that shows the entire level but zoomed out very much.

All you need to do is apply the first method with values that make sense for your game!
