So many missions, but learning a lot at least! - Guilty Gear: Strive pt.2 (2021-07-04)
After completing the first two maps, I’m moving onto the May Ship where I should be learning about Guilty Gear-specific tech. Some stuff like throw teching seems pretty similar to other fighters, but there continues to be some pretty good basic stuff worth learning or at least refreshing my knowledge of before I pop into an online match.
I finally ended up switching the setting to display the game’s button names (PKSHD) rather than controller buttons. Even just a little bit after changing the setting, I was already getting more familiar with which moves are which, and that only got better over time.
Here’s roughly where I start losing interest in the missions. The game eating input up until you gain control means it’s sometimes hard to begin inputs for stuff like reversals, meaning that you have about a 3-frame window to complete those missions rather than a good few extra frames that you’d have in a normal match.
