I hadn’t really considered what you could do to make a Snake type game interesting. For Temple of Snek, what got my attention was the trailer. The fun presentation and quirky music with gameplay matching the beat just looked fun (and regardless of whether there was much depth to the game).
It turns out that there’s some pretty robust puzzles revolving around the various switches and traps which often span more than one screen -- and the game does a great job of considering the movement and varying size of the snake (Snek?) as it eats more and more members of whatever this invading force/tribe is (it seems there’s even some story to discover!).
