Following in the spirit of Boss Studios’ I Am Bread’s surprisingly-technical climbing adventure to become toast, with I Am Fish you instead swap those carbs for omega 3’s -- in this case a Goldfish in a conveniently spherical bowl. The goal of the demo is pretty simple - escape a pet shop and reach the sea.

The game is somewhat reminiscent of Marble Madness, where you’re effectively an unwieldy marble navigating an obstacle course. While I Am Fish certainly is a way, way higher budget game (with a great take on that Pixar/Dreamworks cartoon style - even down to the logo), the first level for the demo is somewhat plain, or at least I guess the challenges are pretty limited and well-disguised as part of the terrain.

I’m looking forward to seeing what Bossa Studios does with the later levels. At the very least, it seems you’ll have a few other fish to play as (presumably with different containers to travel in). Bossa’s clearly demonstrated that they’ve got gameplay chops with their earlier games, so maybe they’ll be ramping up the complexity with the full game.
