Dry Land & Base Building - Subnautica abridged pt.4
On another trip to land, this time I found that it had been inhabited by humans (one of the earlier Degasi bases) rather than aliens, and there’s a ton of good stuff here from scannable structures for blueprints (growbeds!) to a bunch of farmable flora that’ll be super useful later on.
Spent a decent amount of time not only listening to the Degasi logs, but also some stuff from Aurora/etc. It’s looking like I might be the only actual survivor thus far.
Got a close look at the game’s flagship monster - the Reaper Leviathan - in more ways than one. It’s a loud angry thing and I’m hoping it doesn’t actually get a chance to take a bite out of me.
Also spent a ton of time working on base stuff - somehow that ended up being one of my favorite activities in Subnautica.
I got my first vehicle this session as well - a Seamoth! Its ridiculous speed combined with its own oxygen supply is going to make travel so much easier. Just gotta manage its super shallow crush depth.
