Time to search for Sonic, and we enter Casino Forest as Classic Sonic, this is the casino course in Sonic Forces, as there are slot machines and pinball flippers, but there are some spike balls to watch out for. There is only one enemy in the course, and that is an Egg Pawn, and this course has some gimmicks from Casino Night Zone from Sonic the Hedgehog 2, but the forest wasn't originally a casino, it was when Eggman converted the ruins into a casino.
Next course is Aqua Road, and this one is mostly a water slide, and we play as the Rookie for this one, and Rouge tells Silver about some strange lifeforms, which are not Eggman's robots, with Amy and Knuckles telling the Rookie about the lifeforms detected, and that reinforcements for the Resistance are there to back them up.
After the course, the Rookie finds a Phantom Ruby prototype until he encounters Tails and Classic Sonic, and they finally reunite with Sonic, and I do like how Sonic comments on how it's been generations since his encounter with Classic Sonic, which could be a reference to Sonic Generations, which was the last time Sonic has ever encountered Classic Sonic, and when one of the first trailers for Sonic Forces went live, I remember thinking this game was going to be called Sonic Generations 2 the moment Classic Sonic appeared, and this was before the Avatar was even revealed.
With Tails now part of the Resistance, this does bring them hope, and the next course is Sunset Heights, I like the music for that course, but before then, I show a secret course, I won't be showing all the secret courses, but I wanted to show at least one. We learn about Shadow, who is attacking the Resistance in Sunset Heights, and Sonic enters the city in an attempt to find Shadow and get some answers from him. Vector comments about the number of Death Egg Robots attacking the city, and as Sonic progresses, Amy then tells Sonic about the sighting of Shadow nearby, and when we reach the end of the course, Shadow is right there.
We don't get a boss fight, instead Shadow uses Chaos Control, but it turns out to be from the real Shadow, and that the one that attacked is a fake, and Shadow explains to Sonic about the replicas, which were created by Infinite, and that the size of Eggman's army is limitless.
