One week left till Pokémon Scarlet & Violet come out, and unfortunately, the games have leaked online, if only certain game shops didn't release the game earlier, or only gave copies of the game to trusted people to prevent the leaks from happening, but yeah, it has happened yet again. If you are wondering, I am not going to look at any of the leaks, it's really unfortunate that it got leaked, and this isn't even the first time it has happened.
This week, I will be trading Hawlucha through Surprise Trade, I usually breed for 31 IVs in at least 4 or 5 stats, and I decided to go with Unburden, Hawlucha does get Limber for its other Ability, but I find that Unburden is better, while I do have a Hawlucha with Mold Breaker, it's not the best Ability to go with. In one point of the video, I cut out the waiting times between selecting the Pokémon to trade and the Pokémon being traded was because a player had a username that wasn't family friendly, so I cut that out.
For Egg Moves, I went with Cross Chop, Feint, Defog, and Quick Guard, Hawlucha does learn Entrainment and Mean Look for other Egg Moves, I will list which parents in the Flying and Human-Like Egg Groups that can learn those moves.
Cross Chop: Machop, Machoke, Machamp
Defog: G-Farfetch'd, Rufflet, Braviary, Sirfetch'd
Entrainment: Buneary, Lopunny, Pancham, Pangoro
Feint: Hitmonlee, Hitmonchan, Hitmontop, Lucario, Gallade, Fletchinder, Talonflame, Cinderace, Clobbopus, Grapploct
Mean Look: Zubat, Golbat, Crobat, Sableye
Quick Guard: Zubat, Golbat, Hitmonchan, Mr. Mime, Crobat, Hitmontop, Lucario, Gallade, Sawk, Archen, Archeops, Mienfoo, Mienshao

When coming up with moves for Surprise Trade, I went with Cross Chop to give Hawlucha a Fighting-type move to help in the early game for those doing like a Surprise Trade challenge, Defog and Quick Guard are good moves to have in online battles, although I don't tend to see them used on Hawlucha that often, but I guess they are good for passing onto other Pokémon in its Egg Group.
Hawlucha's starting moves are Tackle and Hone Claws, and having Hone Claws is good early on, I would replace either Feint or Quick Guard for that, and for the rest of Hawlucha's level up moves, it can learn Wing Attack, Detect, Aerial Ace, Encore, Feather Dance, Submission, Bounce, Taunt, Roost, Swords Dance, Flying Press, High Jump Kick, Endeavor, and Sky Attack. Flying Press is Hawlucha's signature move which is both a Fighting and Flying-type move, the only move to be dual-type.
Next is Hawlucha's TM and TR moves, it can learn Fire Punch, Thunder Punch, Fly, Giga Impact, Dig, Rock Slide, Steel Wing, Revenge, Brick Break, Rock Tomb, U-turn, Payback, Assurance, Drain Punch, Low Sweep, Acrobatics, Retaliate, and False Swipe, and for TRs, it can learn Low Kick, Agility, Reversal, Baton Pass, Superpower, Bulk Up, Close Combat, Poison Jab, X-Scissor, Brave Bird, Zen Headbutt, Iron Head, Stone Edge, Ally Switch, Work Up, Throat Chop, and Body Press, and its two Tutor moves are Coaching and Dual Wingbeat.
I did find out that Hawlucha was a top-tier Pokémon in the competitive scene, and from looking at its stats, I was expecting Hawlucha to be in the UU tier, it is banned from UU and it did dominate OU in Gen 7 with the introduction of Abilities that set up terrain, combined with the seed that matched the terrain. Hawlucha pairs well with Tapu Koko where if it is holding an Electric Seed, Hawlucha's Unburden can activate, allowing it to sweep teams with Swords Dance, Close Combat, and Acrobatics, Hawlucha didn't learn Close Combat in Gen 7, so its Fighting-type move was High Jump Kick. Hawlucha did also a good teammate for Tapu Lele and Tapu Fini as well, and in this generation, more Pokémon that got Abilities that set up terrain, like Rillaboom and Indeedee, make good teammates for Hawlucha.
Hawlucha's main moves are Close Combat and Brave Bird, it could even use Sky Attack with a Power Herb to activate Unburden, which was one of its best sets back in X & Y, and it does learn some good coverage options, like Stone Edge, Iron Head, Thunder Punch, Poison Jab, and many other moves.
In Double Battles, this is where its teammates like Rillaboom, Indeedee, and Tapu Koko are more common, Hawlucha can make use of the terrain to use the seed item and then sweep with moves like Close Combat and Acrobatics, and it does get some good coverage moves like Rock Slide, Throat Chop, and Iron Head. It does face competition with Galarian Zapdos, which has the same type as Hawlucha, and it has Defiant, giving it an Attack boost from any Intimidate users that are used.
