Space experiment gone wrong / Solis Lets Play
2This spooky sci-fi space horror romp by Carbonado is an absolutely amazing indie horror experience. It’s short, beautiful, atmospheric, well-paced, interesting, the gameplay is super cool and it has some absolutely fantastic voice work (you can see my damn delight when I hear the first line). Ok, so you play as a “drifting scrap dealer” discovering an isolated ship. You board it because of course you do (but also, looting is fun!) but the ship houses some terrible secrets full of deceit, morally dubious science projects and violence.
I loved this a lot and I will say this approx. 10000 times throughout the 35 minute playthrough. It reminded me a bit of Alien:Isolation, Prey and SOMA, especially the beginning since you're basically alone on a strange ship and don't know yet whether you'll find any survivors or what the heck happened. I also think that the pace and length is perfect for this game, the way it navigates you through the plot is pretty damn accomplished.
