Spartan X 2 (NES) Playthrough - NintendoComplete
319A playthrough of Irem's 1991 Famicom beat em up game, Spartan X 2.
Played through on normal mode. The game has been patched to English. The patch changes the title screen to align with the original US NES game, but the original Japanese title is Spartan X 2 (スパルタンX 2).
Spartan X 2 is a bit of an oddity in the Kung Fu series. While it doesn't deviate much in terms of gameplay from any of the others in the series (besides the ability to uppercut and throw), it does attempt to flesh out the story more than any other entry did, with cinematics between each stage, and multiple locations within stages. It's essentially more of the same, and is still too easy and too short, but it's definitely fun did the little time it lasts.
