I'm not sure how we lost the lead when it looked like no one was on the Tower, but never mind. I grab the lead back for no real reason, and again learn that throwing Splash Walls is difficult, before getting splatted for my impetuosity. I don't last long on my next outing, thanks to the green bucket doing what it does best, in splatting chargers. At least I get the chance to tidy up the green mess, the long straight shots giving me some easy target practice. If only inklings moved as little as the floor.

My practice lets me splat a green inkling trying to steal the Tower, and with my new-found confidence I get back to missing shots. So confident am I that I am sure I can flush out the Tri-slosher for an easy splat, and don't even think to check my vulnerable sides. So it goes. A Splash Wall keeps some pressure off as I return and the green team try to press their advantage, but the Ink Storm pushes me backwards just as effectively, and my choice of directions to avoid some Tenta Missiles just moves me in to those meant for a squidmate.

At least our lead is intact, even if our turf control is woeful. I see what I can do about reclaiming turf as my squidmates push the Tower forwards. I'm not able to stop the Tri-slosher as they bounce everywhere, but withdrawing behind a Splash Wall keeps me safe for a bit, and although the bucket catches up with me, they cannot escape my Suction Bombs. The green team curiously abandon the Tower just before the steal back the lead, but that's okay, as they hop back on and take the lead anyway. Wait a minute, that's not okay!

Time to get my splatting hat on. I clear the Tower and start inking turf, before checking our flank to see the bucket trying to get behind us. I don't hit them immediately, but I splat them before they splat me, and with our flank safe I push forwards to support my squidmates on the Tower. We claim the lead back immediately, which is nice, and making another tactical withdrawal lets me splat a couple more inklings from distance. I'm not sure why I don't use my Suction Bomb Rush earlier, until I actually use it and am splatted as soon as it runs out.

All that green turf could be our downfall if we're not careful, so after a little poke forwards to make sure the Tower isn't moving our way, I jink back to cover our flank a bit. Our other flank needs a bit of help too, our Hydra Splatling being pestered by the Splattershot, where I make an improbable shot, helped by the Splattershot jumping to make themselves harder to hit. How ironic. I shift my focus back towards the Tower, and make what I will claim as an excellent reaction shot, before refuting that very claim by missing the bucket too many times in a row.

Another Suction Bomb Rush helps shower the Tower with threatening blue inksplosions, splatting one inkling and making it difficult for the bucket to dodge me. I finally splat them. Time is running out for the green team, so I move up to claim the Tower, helped immeasurably by the Dualies dodge-rolling off it just as time runs out. That was handy. Woomy!
