Protect the basket! Also, collect the loose clams nearby. You don't want them snatched up for an easy power clam to be made near the basket. My rolling around takes me to the hump, where I see my League squidmate trapped in the pit. I would help, but I'm a bit rubbish, as my leaping flick highlights. Even so, falling in to the pit below the Ballpoint Splatling doesn't seem to affect me too much, and I clamber out with a power clam to splat the Rapid Blaster and score the first points of the battle. Nice! My hiding doesn't go so well, though.

I return with defence on my mind, but there's no orange coming our way, so I grab the free clams and see what is happening in the middle of the Mall. The Tenta Brolly is doing things that clearly baffle me a little, as I end up chasing their canopy and not them, but still I survive. I bide my time, and seeing inksplosions on the opposite ledge assume it is clear to make a dash that way. It is not, and my League squidmate and I pop up in to a Splat Bomb.

Still the orange team don't make moves to attack. That's okay, I'll grab the clams near the basket to keep them safe, and push up to our hump. It's all happening there, with orange power clams super-jumping to their pit, maybe to a Beakon, but not getting much further. My squidmates are all over the orange team's attempts to score. As such, I move on the orange basket myself, with eight clams dragging behind me, hoping to find two more. I assume they'll be on the platform, but my League squidmate throws them to me before I need to go looking. Another power clam breaks the barrier!

My League squidmate goes up to the platform to score the clams there, as I do my best to defend from orange ink. My flicks quickly become flails, but I still bag two splats before getting splatted, and some more clams hit the basket, increasing our lead. The orange team are feeling the pressure now, and make a strong push on our basket from multiple directions. We hold them off well, and push them back steadily, but a personal lunge for clams doesn't see the Squeezer's approach, and they easily beat me to the splat.

The orange pressure hasn't gone, and is being maintained by the Tenta Brolly as I return, and after they are splatted the Rapid Blaster. I succumb to a combination of their ink and the Squeezer's again as I try to grab some clams, leaving precious little defence around our basket. The orange team take advantage, breaking our barrier and tossing in collected clams quickly, taking the lead in one smooth action. I throw myself forwards to little effect, and it is only a lack of clams in orange tentacles that stays the scoring.

The scoring may have stopped, but the orange inklings may not be gone. I return cautiously, inking as much turf as I can, and doing my best to stay away from trouble. But we're already at the ten-second countdown, and have little time left. But we have one power clam heading for the basket, and I find some leftover clams to make my own. A squidmate breaks the barrier in extra time, giving us hope, and as the orange team desperately defend their basket, I cruise along the corridor to deliver the battle-winning power clam. Woomy!
