I don't rush to get in to the Splat Zones, but I don't hold back when it looks like the yellow team aren't in a rush either. A Splat Bomb does well to knock the Ink Armour off an inkling, and I jump forwards to slosh for the splat. Another inkling is in front of me, but soon they're not, and I don't know where they go. Still, the Heavy Splatling tries to throw a B-bomb from the wrong position, so I'm happy to stop that, just as I'm happy that a squidmate pushes the Octobrush away from me. I find out moments later that they don't splat them.

The Splat Zones turn yellow, we lose the lead, and we have precious little turf. I get a spot of luck as I return, catching out the Splattershot Jr as they cover turf below them and don't look up. That lets me get closer to the action, but also closer to the Octobrush. Thankfully, their brushing doesn't quite engulf me, and my sloshing repels them. It's also good to see that just as I don't chase the splat, neither do they. That gives me some time to recover some ink and plan my next move.

My plan involves throwing myself towards the Splat Zone and sloshing, with a brief pause to hide from a B-bomb. I think my squidmates have better plans, as the Splat Zones turn pink without my doing much. I cross to the other side and do some covering inking, before catching the Splattershot Jr's return. I don't do well to drag yellow Tenta Missiles through the Splat Zones, but at least I tidy up my mess, and throw a nifty Splat Bomb that catches the Heavy Splatling out.

As we retake the lead, another Splat Bomb splats the Octobrush, but am unable to quite reach the Splattershot Jr to keep the streak going. I do get a nice hoop with my squid, which really ought to count for something. I help keep the pressure on the Splattershot Jr until the rest of the yellow team return, and then I skirt their ledge and try to slosh upwards. Not really getting much luck, I return my focus to the Splat Zones, just about keeping them inked enough to stay purple, whilst bagging a couple of last-second splats, to earn us the knockout victory. Woomy!
