Splatoon 3 - Salty Splatfest: Pokemon Edition!
0It's been a bit, but here we are again! Splatoon 3's third Splatfest (counting the pre-release one), I figured I should cover it. If you don't know what a Splatfest is, think of it liked a themed competition. Players pick one team from said theme and compete for Clout, which is tallied up at the end to see who wins. Participants also earn Super Sea Snails, items that are useful for augmenting your gear and making them stronger. But it's really more about your own personal pride than anything else.
This time around, this Splatfest is themed around Pokemon, ahead of Scarlet and Violet's release. Which Pokemon type do you want as your partner? Grass, Water, or Fire? I've happened to side with Shiver all three times now, but I would have gone with Grass regardless. Always liked that typing the most and they're among my favorite starters. So yeah, Team Touch Grass represent!
Here's a collection of matches from one session in this Splatfest. Just me messing around with a variety of weapons as I do my best for my team! Unfortunately we lost a 10x battle, but we got some really good matches, including one that was ridiculously close!
I'll have one more video covering Tricolor battles, which opened up a few hours after this session. Hopefully I can get both up before the results and this won't end poorly.
