We're back again! Been a while since we've graced MultiVersus, huh? Lot of changes and characters since last I've posted a video on it. To be honest, I've gotten a bit frustrated with the game's wonky hitboxes and quality of the server-based matchmaking as of late so that's the big reason I haven't really posted much about it. While there's been hitbox updates, I still see plenty of weird interactions, though online as of now hasn't really been noticeably improved. That said, with the arrival of Black Adam we also got Arcade Mode, so I figured I'd do a video featuring both as it seems Season 1 is about to come to an end.

Arcade Mode comes in three difficulties: Easy, Medium and Hard. Three fights with unlimited continues for Easy, five fights with three continues in Medium and Hard gives you only one continue as you take on seven fights. I attempted Hard but uh...yeah maybe not with Black Adam. What's notable on Medium and Hard is you're assigned a given Nemesis you fight as the penultimate fight. In Black Adam's case he fights Superman cuz uh...The Rock really wants to fight Superman I guess. Alongside that, there's also some "special" versions of other characters that crop up from time to time. In this video we have a "feral" Gizmo who uh....I think got Enraged permanently on his second stock? Maybe? I didn't notice much different with him. And then the final fight was against Reign Dog...a Reindog who randomly gets armor and after taking enough hits grows giant. All you get for beating Arcade Mode is a little star icon next to said character relating to the difficulty: Bronze for Easy, Silver for Medium and Gold for Hard. As of now, nothing else.

As for Black Adam himself....I can't say I know much more about him in the comics other than he's "evil Shazam" or whatever. Empowered by Egyptian gods, he can fly, he's super strong and shoots lighting and....that's about all I got. I'm sure he has a rich comic history to him but I can't pretend I know or care all that much. The real reason he's here is to promote the Black Adam movie that further strokes The Rock's ego so uh...yeah.

As a Bruiser, Black Adam hits hard and specializes in KOs....except he's slow as sin, so good luck getting them. Some of his strongest moves, like his Neutral attack on the ground or in the air, take FOREVER to come out, and other moves like his up attack on the ground are subjected to weird hitboxes and cooldowns. His Down attack hits all grounded opponents which is neat I guess, and he can erect a shield to block projectiles or draw them towards him with his Air Neutral Special. His Ground Neutral Special will arc between multiple foes, not that it shows up here at all. And his Up Special allows him to fly for a short time, which I assume will factor into any "tech" people find with him. But yeah, for a first impression he feels really bad to me. That or maybe he's just better suited to team play and in 1v1s he'll suffer badly.

I'll probably upload more MultiVersus at some point, but time will tell what the next "project" I take on will be. I'd like to play Bayonetta 3 on here, since I went through 1 and 2 back in the day, but uh...my copy still hasn't shipped yet so uh...that'll have to wait. That and I'd like to play through it myself first rather than post a blind playthrough. Stay tuned I guess!
