Gabriel has a MILLION HP and two phases... but phase 1 is honestly fairly easy as you can stunlock him without much effort but after he takes enough punishment he summons Phillia to the battle and then the fight gets rough because he's going to either choose to drop rocks on your head or show off the fact that he knows all of the ultimate magic spells... again and again. Thankfully it's the final boss so you can go all out on the items and you're probably decked out. You could probably get away with bloody armor but this fight is a long one so you're gonna need a ton of items to pull that sorta thing off.

There is one big change with the remake that needs to be kept in mind and that's the final boss or rather Gabriel Lantis/ Unlimited Gabriel. You can't fight it yet. To return to expel or battle the true final boss you have to beat normal gabriel and have a cleared save file. After that load up the save file and you'll now be able to return to expel as well as get the final scene with Phillia (provided you talked with her in Kurik) if you want to see what character endings I got well you're just gonna have to wait for Gabriel Lantis... mainly because I'm still trying to grind out affection between two of my party members.
